Monopoly Live review

Money wheel with 3D Monopoly board bonus round. Walk Mr. Monopoly around the board accumulating multipliers.

Monopoly Live launched in 2019 — Evolution's first major game show after Dream Catcher. Combines a live money wheel with a 3D-rendered Monopoly board bonus round where Mr. Monopoly walks around landing on player-chosen properties with stacking multipliers.

Verdict

Most cinematic of Evolution's wheel-based game shows. The 3D Monopoly board sequence is genuinely impressive on first watch and the multiplier-stacking mechanic produces clipworthy big wins. House edge runs 3.2%–10% depending on bet — best of the wheel-based shows for sustained bonus narrative.

How Monopoly Live actually plays

Players bet on wheel segments: numbers (1, 2, 5, 10), Chance, or 2 Rolls / 4 Rolls (the bonus triggers). Wheel spins; number hits pay base × Top Slot multiplier. Chance hits draw a card revealing cash prize or multiplier applied to subsequent rolls.

2 Rolls or 4 Rolls hit triggers the 3D Monopoly bonus. Mr. Monopoly walks around the board. Each property has a base value × your stake on landing. Properties can be 'upgraded' by previous visits during the round.

Doubles award an extra roll — chains of doubles can dramatically extend the round. Biggest wins come from chained doubles landing on high-value upgraded properties.

House edge by bet

Number 1: 1.96% house edge — the lowest. Number 2: 3.94%. Number 5: 5.18%. Number 10: 6.21%. 2 Rolls: 4.77%. 4 Rolls: 5.84%. Chance: 10.00%.

Chance is the worst bet. Skip it. Number bets and Roll bets are reasonable; Roll bets give bonus access at acceptable edge.

How it compares to Crazy Time and Funky Time

Crazy Time: higher max multiplier (25,000× vs Monopoly's ~10,000×), four bonus rounds vs Monopoly's one extended bonus, faster bonus resolution.

Funky Time: lower max multiplier than Crazy Time, similar bonus complexity to Monopoly. Smoother variance.

Monopoly Live: deepest bonus narrative (the 3D board sequence runs longer than other game shows' bonuses). Pick on bonus-round preference: Crazy Time for fast variety, Monopoly for sustained narrative, Funky Time for smoother sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Best bet on Monopoly Live?+

Number 1 (1.96% house edge). For bonus access at acceptable edge, 2 Rolls (4.77%) or 4 Rolls (5.84%). Skip Chance.

How often does the bonus hit?+

2 Rolls and 4 Rolls combined: roughly 1 in 7–8 rounds. 4 Rolls is rarer but produces longer, more variance-rich bonus rounds.

How much can I win on the bonus?+

Typical bonus rounds return 20×–200× stake. Top recorded outcomes have exceeded 10,000× — chained doubles landing on Boardwalk with accumulated upgrades.

Why is the bonus round longer than Crazy Time's?+

4 Rolls plus chained doubles produces longer board navigation. Bonus-round time-to-resolution can be 2–4 minutes vs Crazy Time's typical 30–60 seconds per bonus.

Is the Monopoly board outcome scripted?+

No. RNG-certified by independent labs. The 3D animation is rendered around the random outcome.
