CoinPoker review

CoinPoker is the largest pure-crypto poker room by traffic. Built around the assumption that serious players want fast crypto cashouts without bouncing through a fiat on-ramp just to play hold'em — and the data shows enough players agree to keep cash games running around the clock.

Our verdict

CoinPoker is the answer for people who actually want to play poker with crypto rather than poker at an operator that also happens to accept crypto. Traffic is the biggest of any pure-crypto poker room — not PokerStars-sized, but real enough that you can find a cash game at off-peak hours and serious enough that the tournament schedule runs as advertised. The software is GGPoker-derived, which is a real competitive advantage because GGPoker's engine is category-leading and the alternatives in this niche feel observably older. The caveat sits on the CHP native token. Rakeback and bonus payouts come denominated in CHP, which is exchange-traded and volatile. Great when CHP pumps, painful when it dumps, and the operator's incentives don't fully align with yours either way. Treat CHP as a volatile asset rather than a captive loyalty token — swap to USDT or BTC immediately on receipt if you don't want the exposure.

  • GGPoker-style software with strong UX

Traffic and liquidity

This is the thing that actually matters for poker. CoinPoker runs real cash games at micro to mid stakes around the clock, with $1/$2 NLHE tables reliably active and $5/$10 reachable during US/EU peak hours. Not GGPoker's traffic, but more than enough for a regular to find action.

MTT liquidity depends on the day. Weekly MTT schedule is consistent with $10k-$50k guarantees on the headline events. Field sizes are smaller and thus softer — good for skilled regs, worse if you want the big-field variance of a major tournament.

Freerolls run frequently and pay in crypto. Small amounts ($10-$50 typically) but genuine and with contestable field sizes. Worth entering if you're new to the room and want to build a starting bankroll.

Software

Built on a GGPoker-style engine. Clean modern UX, multi-tabling works well, hand histories accessible. Among the best poker software in the crypto niche — which matters because the alternatives (SwC Poker, older hybrid rooms) feel observably older.

Desktop client plus mobile app. Mobile is fully functional including multi-table play. Hand-history import into solver tools (GTO Wizard, PioSOLVER) works via exported files.

Notes and HUD support exists but is more limited than GGPoker's — the anonymous-table stance limits what third-party HUDs can track.

Rakeback and CHP economics

Rakeback is CoinPoker's main retention engine. Tiered by volume — standard tiers return 20-40% of rake depending on your monthly volume. Credited weekly.

Payments are in CHP, the operator's native token. CHP trades on exchanges and has independent price movement. If you hold CHP and the price pumps, your effective rakeback goes up. If it dumps, down. This is a meaningful volatility bet beyond the normal poker volatility.

For sophisticated players: swap CHP to USDT or BTC immediately on receipt, treat it as a zero-duration exposure. For casual players who hold and forget: you're running a directional bet on the token alongside your poker results.

Crypto support & payouts

BTC, ETH, USDT, plus CHP. Straightforward — the room doesn't chase long-tail altcoin support. Minimum deposit $10 equivalent.

Withdrawal timing runs under 30 minutes on standard amounts per community reports. Larger amounts can trigger review but processing is reasonable.

KYC is not required by default. Risk-engine triggers apply at volume, like all operators in the Curaçao ecosystem.

Trust & transparency

Curaçao licensed. Operational since 2017 — nine years is a meaningful track record in a category where poker-specific operators frequently fold.

Dispute pattern is light and resolves reasonably. The CHP economics are the main structural concern — not fraud, but a tokenomics layer that creates conflict of interest (the operator benefits from CHP price appreciation; players lose relative value if the token underperforms).

Geoblocks the standard Western markets — UK, US, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands. Players outside those can play; US specifically is excluded.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use CoinPoker as my only poker site?+

If you're a crypto-native player focused on fast cashouts and don't mind playing smaller fields than PokerStars or GGPoker — yes, it's a reasonable primary. If you grind MTTs and need massive guarantees or specific tournament structures, you'll still need a mainstream account alongside.

Is the CHP token a scam?+

No. It has real on-platform utility (rakeback, bonuses) and trades on real exchanges. It is volatile, and tying rakeback to a tradable token means the operator has incentives that don't fully align with players. Swap CHP out promptly if you want stable-value rakeback; hold if you want token exposure.

How does CoinPoker compare to GGPoker?+

GGPoker has vastly larger traffic, bigger MTT guarantees, and no crypto-native plumbing — you need a fiat on-ramp. CoinPoker has smaller fields, native crypto deposits and withdrawals, CHP tokenomics on the side. Different tools for different use cases.

Can US players use CoinPoker?+

No. CoinPoker geoblocks the US. VPN use to circumvent is a terms-of-service violation.

What stakes are actually playable?+

NLHE cash: $0.25/$0.50 to $5/$10 reliably. PLO cash: $0.50/$1 to $2/$5 with regularity. MTTs: $10-$109 buy-ins with field sizes of 100-500. High rollers (>$1k buy-in) are scheduled but don't always fill.
